My first little show and sale

Click picture to get a closer look
I was invited to attend a Women's Only ... well it wasn't a craft sale, nor was it an art sale...I was one of only two with original art work...the others sold things like Grandma's Attic, Epicure, and home decor stuff.
At any rate, it was awesome. This is the first time I've had a bunch of my art all together in one place, and got the opportunity to talk about my stuff. I sold some paintings, found people interested in taking my classes, and generally had a great evening. My sister in law was a tremendous help...picking up all my paintings from here and there...loading and unloading...and having a plan for how to set it all up.
So, I have entered the realm of actively selling my art. It is exciting, and I can't wait to do more!
Here's to self-promotion!!

Congratulations on your sales, Tracy! No small feat in this economy! That's quite a lot of work you have there--looks great.

Thanks so much ladies! It was fun, and it forced me to really think about what I want to say about my art. Still working on my artist's statement...
